The UL Chemical Safety Research Group contributes to the protection of human health and wellbeing through scientific research and the sharing of knowledge. We contribute to the management and mitigation of adverse impacts of chemical air pollution. Conducted in collaboration with universities and other organizations, our research is intended to bring data-driven knowledge to scientific, business and regulatory leaders, raising their awareness of potential human health risks from rapidly emerging technology innovation. With research in hand, UL Chemical Safety Research brings together stakeholders to discuss science and strategies and provide transparent data and information through peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and trade articles. We organize and facilitate UL hosted forums and roundtables that include organizations with diverse interests to pave the way for additional research, development of improved business practices, alternative product design, legislative and regulatory changes, and education to enable safe commercialization of products and healthier environments.
