UL Chemical Safety contributes to the protection of human health and well-being through scientific research. The research group also shares knowledge to manage and mitigate sources and adverse impacts of chemical pollution. Our group conducts research on its own and in collaboration with universities and other research institutions. We share data-driven knowledge to scientific, business and policy leaders to raise their awareness of potential human health risks from rapidly emerging technology innovation. With the research in hand, we convene stakeholders to discuss science and strategies. UL Chemical Safety provides transparent data and information through peer-reviewed journals, conferences and other open communication channels. We also organize and facilitate forums and roundtables for parties with diverse interests to pave the way for additional research, development of improved practices, alternative product design, new legislation and regulatory changes, and education to enable availability of safer products and healthier environments.
